Hardy, 2-sport star, builder of 'Orange Crush,' dies

Carroll Hardy, a multisport star best known as the only man to pinch hit for Ted Williams, died Sunday at age 87. As a football executive, he helped build the "Orange Crush" defense of the Denver Broncos.
